Increase in IT security incidents in Germany: analysis of over 150 incidents in the first half of 2024 – estimated number of unreported incidents in this period significantly higher

The number of IT security incidents in Germany continues to rise rapidly. In a recent report, RIEDEL Networks recorded over 150 IT security incidents at German companies in the first half of 2024 alone and analyzed the resulting areas of damage. However, experts suspect that the actual number of incidents is significantly higher, as many security incidents remain undetected or do not come to public attention. The threat situation in the area of cyber security is becoming more acute and highlights the need for companies to protect themselves comprehensively against cyber attacks. Key findings of the report
