Attackers see potential in every endpoint that is integrated into a corporate network to make it into the corporate network. This is where the EDR tool comes into play. While XDR in our [R.E.D.] service provides comprehensive protection for the entire IT infrastructure, EDR complements the XDR capabilities by providing in-depth threat monitoring and response, specifically for endpoints. EDR is highly accurate at the endpoint level and can identify specific threats that may not be detected by an XDR solution. With the integration of EDR into our [R.E.D.] service, all devices that are connected to the customer’s network and serve as entry points for communication and data transmission are monitored. The specific monitoring and analysis of endpoints not only strengthens their security, but also the overall security of the customer’s IT infrastructure.

The reason why the additional protection of endpoints is so important is that endpoints are often the primary target for attacks and a direct gateway for threats. While XDR can detect and respond to many threats, the addition of EDR offers specific advantages in terms of in-depth monitoring and rapid response to threats on endpoints.
