Wuppertal, January 27, 2016: Experton Group Study on MPLS-based WAN Services Confirms Market Leadership of Riedel Communications Subsidiary
Riedel Networks, the specialist for customized and international site networking, was ranked as a leader in an independent study by Experton Group on MPLS-based WAN services.
For the first time, the independent IT research and consulting company Experton analyzed the most important companies in the German market for WAN (Wide Area Network) services & SDN (Software Defined Networking) in its own benchmark. Die im Januar 2016 veröffentlichte Studie identifiziert insgesamt 46 Unternehmen mit relevanten Angeboten, die in fünf Kategorien im “Experton Group Market Insight-Quadranten” evaluiert und positioniert wurden. According to Experton, the companies classified as “Leaders” within the quadrant have a highly attractive product and service offering as well as a distinct, strong market and competitive position and are therefore to be regarded as strategic pacesetters and opinion leaders.
Riedel Networks was positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in the “MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)-based WAN Services” category along with other companies such as British Telecom, Colt and Deutsche Telekom. Experton Group’s evaluation is not based purely on a comparison of the products of the different sized providers, but rather also on criteria such as the company’s strategy and vision, the quality of the service level agreements, as well as the network monitoring capabilities and the ability to meet the international requirements of German customers. In the Experton Group’s view, Riedel Networks as the leader in the MPLS provider category has its strengths in international network connections and a solid VPN portfolio. Innovations include smartphone apps for iOS and Android that allow networks to be monitored from anywhere. The performance reporting provides graphically prepared statistical data about the traffic development of all VPN connections of the customer.
“To be rated as a leader in Experton’s competitive comparison, together with much larger providers, really pleases me and confirms us in our mission to be a leading provider of customized and international site networking for medium-sized businesses,” said Michael Martens, CEO at Riedel Networks. “Based on our many years of experience in networking very demanding customers in Formula 1, the DTM or the Olympic Games, we understand how important the highest quality and flexibility are for the success of a company. Our business customers and our partners benefit equally from this experience.” Jörg Retzlaff, Director Network Operations and Technology at Riedel Networks adds: “For us, excellent customer service is important. Good communication, high transparency and, above all, a fast and pro-active approach is of great importance to us and our customers.”
