RELIABLE SECURITY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR YOUR COMPANY

RIEDEL Enterprise Defense (R.E.D.)

Our IT security service – RIEDEL Enterprise Defense (R.E.D.) – offers a 24/7 managed service that covers all aspects of vulnerability and threat analysis, active protection against targeted attack attempts and comprehensive prevention measures. R.E.D. can be used as a stand-alone solution or in combination with the existing network solutions from RIEDEL Networks. Customers are supported around the clock as part of the service from our own Security Operations Center (SOC) in Germany.

R.E.D. combines a variety of state-of-the-art technologies and systems that are required for the successful detection, defense and prevention of cyber attacks. Our customers receive a customized security setup that essentially consists of the following components:

Our R.E.D. Security Tool Kit
  • Security Information & Event Monitoring (SIEM)

  • Extended Detection & Response (XDR)

  • Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR)

  • Behavioral Analysis

  • Threat Intelligence

The pricing of the R.E.D. Managed Security Service is transparent and fair for our customers – no incalculable billing, not according to volume (per Mbps) and not according to events per second (EPS)! Thanks to the modular and robust architecture based on Managed Kubernetes and Elastic, the service is automatically scalable indefinitely.

IT security measures in companies are becoming mandatory

There are numerous reasons to thoroughly protect your own company network. However, this will become mandatory from October 2024 at the latest, when the Europe-wide NIS 2 Directive comes into force. When the directive comes into force, companies associated with critical infrastructures (KRITIS) will not only be required, but even obliged, to firmly anchor comprehensive security measures in their companies.

The NIS 2 Directive is EU-wide legislation on network and information security. The aim is to strengthen the cyber security of companies and ensure a uniformly high level of security in the EU. Each company is responsible for assessing whether it is affected by the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS-2 Directive for short).

Not a paper tiger!

A laissez-faire attitude in the area of cybersecurity can be punished significantly in the future. Instead of the 150,000 euros that the first version of the NIS stipulated as the maximum amount for sanctions, KRITIS companies will in future face high fines. This is categorized into material and important entities, which can be fined up to EUR 10 million / EUR 7 million or 2% or 1.4% of the total worldwide turnover of the company to which the entity belongs in the previous year.

For company management, this means a double risk: in addition to any direct damage caused by a cyberattack (reputation, failure, blackmail, etc.), there is the threat of further sanctions from the state for which they will be held responsible and liable.

Making the Impossible Possible

“With this project, Riedel has made a massive contribution to showcasing our work and positioning us not only as a traditional supplier, but also as an innovator in the management and control of complex systems. The whole project was only possible because Schaeffler could rely on partners like Riedel.”

Daniel Kohl, Director Technical Development Motorsport at Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG

Riedel connects two worlds for us: Broadcast and IT.

When it comes to broadcasting a first-class event like Formula 1, a strong and reliable partnership is an absolute must. We have been working with Riedels RiLink for many years. As soon as the fiber optic cable is connected to our production unit, all systems wake up, immediately connect to their hosts and start sending files or messages.
