The challenge
In order to meet the increased communication requirements in terms of availability and performance, BEUMER wanted to integrate the most important locations into a new MPLS network.
The solution
RIEDEL Networks planned, implemented and has been operating a highly available and scalable MPLS VPN with Ethernet access technology for the BEUMER Group since 2012. The Group's most important sites in Germany, Denmark, Great Britain, China, India and the USA are connected to the RIEDEL Networks network via broadband Ethernet. In addition, Riedel provides BEUMER Group with a central Internet outbreak, which is also used to back up some of the sites. The entire network, including the routers at the customer site, is proactively monitored and managed by Riedel Networks.
Advantages
-
High availability of the network worldwide with stable, short network runtimes
-
Investment protection, new locations can be quickly and easily integrated into the network
-
Future-proof and flexible thanks to QOS, different priorities, classes of service and subnets can be assigned for applications such as ERP or video conferencing
-
Performance monitoring for monitoring the network and SLAs via web browser as well as iOS and Android apps
"The start of the cooperation was the convincing offer for the MPLS networking of our then main locations in Beckum (Germany) and in Aarhus (Denmark). After that, we only had good experiences and therefore decided to integrate further locations into the Riedel Networks MPLS. The two companies are a good fit in terms of size. The processes and procedures at are unbureaucratic, uncomplicated and flexible with all professionalism. We have good direct and personal access to the support team, which provides us with fast and competent assistance."
Schematic representation of the BEUMER solution:
The head office is connected to the RIEDEL Networks MPLS backbone via broadband with two fixed connections. The other locations are connected to the MPLS with a broadband Ethernet connection.
Fail-safe Internet access is provided for some locations via the RIEDEL Networks MPLS, which is supplied via the MPLS.
Some other locations are provided with Internet access via local providers.
These customers (and many more) already rely on RIEDEL Networks.
